We’re recruiting on-call firefighters at Waltham Abbey Fire Station.

Drop into any of our sessions during our recruitment week, which kicks off on Tuesday 4 February 2020, to find out more about becoming an on-call firefighter in Waltham Abbey.

Upcoming events:

Tuesday 4 February:
Drop in between 1pm – 7pm to chat to our On-Call Liaison Officer.

Thursday 6 February:
Drop in between 1pm – 7pm to chat to our On-Call Liaison Officer.
From 6pm, you can watch our training night at the fire station.

Saturday 8 February:
Our On-Call Liaison Officers will be at Gunpowder Park Parkrun with a recruitment stall.
Drop in between 10am – 4pm to chat with our On-Call Liaison Officer.

What is an on-call firefighter?

On-call firefighters protect their local area by responding to incidents such as fires and road traffic collisions as well as community safety work.

You’ll need to live or work within five minutes of an on-call fire station so that you can respond quickly when paged. You’ll also need to be over 18 years of age and physically fit. Find out more about on-call firefighters.
